PLAV POSTER AND ESSAY CONTEST

The P.L.A.V. Poster & Essay contest is a contest sponsored by the Polish Legion of American Veterans. The contest is based on a theme relating to Americanism. Students may enter either a poster or an essay. This contest enriches the writing and artistic expression of our students. The contest is judged on three levels and each level awards cash prizes.

• Chapter Level : 1st place $25 2nd place $25 3rd place $25
• State Level : 1st place $125 2nd place $75 3rd place $50
• National Level : 1st place $125 2nd place $75 3rd place $50

• Students in grades 7 and 8 are eligible to enter.
• Class time is given and students are to finish at home. Students whose poster/essay places first on the chapter level will advance to the state level. Students whose poster/essay places first in the state will advance to the national level.
• Results of the contest are available after all levels of competition are completed The sponsoring chapter presents awards at school during a brief ceremony. Certificates and cash prizes are given.
