NEWS Plan For the Holidays Now There are only 2 more full orders of scrip between now and Thanksgiving. There are the week of October 20 and October 27. The week of November 3 and November 17 will be left side orders only. There will be no scrip the week of November 10, due to conferences and no scrip the week of November 24, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. After Thanksgiving, there will be 2 full weeks of scrip orders and one week of just the left side. So plan your holiday shopping accordingly. New Stores Great Lakes is please to announce the addition of new stores in our area or on-line to their program. REI is available in a $25 denomination for 8%. Main Street Ventures (which includes Gratzi, Carson's American Bistro, Real Seafood Company, The Chop House and Palio's) comes in $25 at 12%. Jiffy Lube offers gift cards for $30 at 8% and the Home Shopping Network is available as well. HomeGoods is opening a store at Ford and Lilley and offers scrip for $25 at 7%. Westborn Market Has Gone to Rechargeable Cards. Westborn Market has gone to rechargeable cards. However, they will work differently from the other rechargeable grocery store programs. Westborn does not have the computer capability to have the cashiers reload the cards at the registers. Instead it will be done in the back office. You will continue to order as you have off the Weekly Scrip Form, the amount you would like. For your first order use the Westborn Rechargeable Card line with the amount of your initial purchase. For subsequent orders, use the Weekly Scrip Form Westborn Reload line with the amount of your reload. Send in the funds with the rest of your weekly order. We will send a report each week to Westborn showing the names, card numbers and amounts for the reloads. Your card will be reloaded by noon on Thursday, the same time you would have been able to receive your gift certificate. Your percentage for the vouchers will still go to the May 2009 voucher. Busch's Change Busch's has modified their program slightly. If you reload your card and pay by cash, check or debit card St. Michael's will still receive 5% of the amount of your reload. If you pay by credit card, the amount St. Michael's will receive will be 3%. Planning Home Improvement Projects or Appliance Purchases? Think ahead and save money on tuition. Order through scrip for these or other available stores. Travelocity Incentives Hotel Gift cards are available in a $100 denomination at a 9% discount. American Airlines offers cards for $100 and $250 at an 8% discount, which can be used at AA.com or by placing an airline reservation over the phone. Several hotel chains offer gift cards as well - Comfort Inn chains ($25 or $100 at 6%); Marriott Chains ($50, $100 or $500 at 12%); Best Western ($25 or $100 at 12%) are some of the more popular chains. Need to rent a card - Avis and Budget both offer $50 at 8%. And don't forget gas cards for almost any type of station. If you are traveling to Disney even 2% on $25, $100 or $1000 can add up to tuition savings. Need Catering Services? Both Chimento's and Thomas's will accept scrip for payment of catering services. Also don't forget to order scrip for your Gordon Food Service party purchases.
