HOW THE SCRIP PROGRAM WORKS

• The Parent Group buys the certificates at a discount from the stores or Great Lakes Scrip.
• We sell the gift cards to you for the face value and realize the discount % as profit for the Parent Group and tuition voucher earnings for the parents (Profit is split 50/50). (See Scrip Order Forms or Scrip Store Listing for face value & full discount %).
• The stores may give you change in the form of certificates, some may give you cash up to $5. Gift cards retain their balance, for at least one year - some stores charge a fee after one year of inactivity. (see usage guidelines on Scrip Store Listing)
• The certificates are good for a minimum of one year.
• This program is available weekly during the school year (except during breaks) and monthly from May to August.
• These gift certificates look like gift certificates or gift cards you would purchase at the store.
• You can use them to make regular purchases, to buy a gift, or you can give them as a gift.
• Each year we ask our teachers to tell us what they would like for Christmas gifts. These "Wish Lists" can be found on the back of the December Scrip Order Form. If you are thinking about giving your teachers a gift, please check out the back of the December Scrip Order Form.
• The certificates are the same as cash, if you loose them we can’t replace them.
• All Scrip purchases should be made with checks payable to the St. Michael Parent Group.

SCRIP AVAILABLE THIS WEEK

Scrip stores available this week are listed in the first column of the Scrip Order Form. We carry an inventory of these stores. If you send your order to school by Wednesday at noon, your scrip will be available by Thursday at noon.

You CAN use KOHL’S & JC PENNEY gift cards to pay off these charge cards.

• NONE of the other stores allow you to use gift cards to pay off charge card balances.
• The first order form will come home 9/8/08, be due 9/10/08 and the scrip will be available on 9/11/08.
• We’ll be taking orders every week we have at least 4 days of school.

 SCRIP AVAILABLE NEXT WEEK

• Scrip stores available next week are listed in the second and third columns of the Scrip Order Form. We do not carry an inventory of theses stores. We purchase only what is ordered. If you send your order to school by Wednesday at noon, your scrip will be available the following Thursday at noon…..8 days later.
• The first order form will come home 9/8/08, be due 9/10/08 and the scrip will be available 9/18/08
• We have been known to do special orders for companies wishing to make purchases for employee incentives or gifts.
