Michigan Green School

Welcome to St. Michael Catholic School

St. Michael School - Livonia

St. Michael School is a JK - 8 Catholic parish elementary school committed to excellence and uniqueness through extraordinary effort and love. Our mission is to inspire our students to be followers of their Catholic faith, champions of academic excellence, and moral leaders for the future.

At St. Michael School, we surpass the “academic curve.” Our teachers are committed to exceeding the national standards. In fact, our vision transcends these prescribed benchmarks, including the Common Core, because we are a school that consistently achieves academic excellence, while being rooted in a strong Catholic tradition. Ultimately, the St. Michael leadership staff establishes our foundational values and core principles and motivates our faith-filled community to flourish, both creatively and technologically.

Year after year at St. Michael School, our crowning achievement is our graduating eighth grade class. A St. Michael graduate is exceptionally prepared to compete in the most challenging intellectual and spiritual arenas. The ultimate goal of our administration and staff is to ensure that each student, from junior kindergarten to eighth grade, is a faith-filled, resourceful, intellectually-curious individual. Our students are inspired to lead others by example in a modern age that requires students to remain steadfast in their Catholic faith and values, regardless of public opinion or cultural trends.

In 2008 and 2011, our school was bestowed the prestigious “School of Distinction” award by the Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools (MANS). The “School of Distinction” honor was created by MANS to recognize exemplary non-public schools in Michigan that exceed standards through the accreditation process.

New family registration for the 2015-2016 school year is on Thursday, March 5 from 5 PM - 7 PM. If you have questions or would like to learn more about the school, please contact Theresa Liptak in the school office at ext. 225.

Join us on Wednesday, March 25 from 5 PM - 7 PM for our annual Kids' Carnival. This evening is a great opportunity for parents to meet other families and our experienced school staff --- and for the whole family to have fun! The Kids' Carnival is for families of students entering our Junior Four program, Kindergarten, and First Grade in September 2015, as well as new families interested in learning more about St. Michael Catholic School.
