V. To him who is able to accomplish far more than all we ask or imagine …

R. To him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus to all generations!

Almighty, eternal Father, we praise your infinite mercy,
because in the fullness of time you sent your only-begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ,
to be the true light of humanity and to change our lives into your new creation.
With the strength of the Holy Spirit, Christ has sent us, in turn,
to be his instruments for sowing the seeds of his love in our age,
so that we may present to you the abundant fruits
that come from the Church’s work of sharing Christ with the world.
Since the call is from you, we depend on you to make your strength and power our own.
Make our spirits bold and our hearts generous
as we take up our mission of changing lives together,
May the joy that burns in the Heart of your Son be ours as well,
in reaping the harvest you bring forth through our works of faith, hope and love.
